The Northolt HS2 site is under the responsibility of the Skanska Costain Strabag Joint Venture (JV), which oversees its design and construction. The Northolt Tunnel, a significant part of the HS2 project, spans 13.5 kilometers (8.4 miles) and will connect Old Oak Common station to West Ruislip. The tunnel’s construction is divided into two phases: Northolt Tunnel West and Northolt Tunnel East, utilizing four tunnel boring machines (TBMs).
In addition to the tunnel, the Skanska Costain Strabag JV is also tasked with designing and constructing the Mandeville Road ventilation shaft and headhouse in Northolt.
